The Senior Security Analyst is a member of Wurldtech's Device Assessment team. This team identifies vulnerabilities in designs, products, devices, communications protocols and complete solutions through reverse engineering and penetration testing techniques. The team provides comprehensive reports to the customer outlining the testing process, the results found, and suggested mitigations for any issues.

  • Perform security assessments of designs, products, devices, communications protocols and complete systems

  • Focus on embedded devices and control solutions in Oil & Gas, Electric Utility, and Medical applications

  • Use hacking, penetration testing and reverse engineering techniques to assess the systems

  • Create clear, comprehensive customer reports, outlining test methods, prioritized findings, and suggested mitigations of any issues

  • Present the results to the developers and designers of the devices and systems

  • Stay current with the state of the art and technology in critical infrastructure and embedded system security

  • Conducting Wurldtech training courses

  • Supporting the creation of new services and collateral sales activities

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or High School Diploma/GED

  • 5 years' experience in hardware and firmware reverse engineering, penetration testing, black box testing and hacking embedded systems


  • Expert knowledge of product and system design and security in the areas of:
    1) Industrial automation, control systems, Oil & Gas, Utility; 2) Medical devices and systems; 3) Embedded devices

  • Expert knowledge of the design and implementation of wired and wireless communication protocols

  • Able to present technological details to customers in an understandable manager

  • In-depth understanding of software vulnerabilities, their root causes, and proper mitigations

  • In depth experience with IDA Pro

  • Wurldtech is particularly interested in people who have proactively done security research, ‘Capture the Flag’ competitions, and other activities that exhibit a passion for security, and the mindset of reverse engineering.
